Rum Toddy Instructions
The Rum Toddy is a classic cocktail that is perfect for chilly nights or cozy evenings by the fireplace. Made with rum, warm water, and a touch of sweetness, this drink is sure to warm you up from the inside out.
To make a Rum Toddy, start by heating some water in a kettle or on the stove. You want the water to be warm, but not boiling. While the water is heating, grab your favorite mug and add a shot or two of your preferred rum.
Next, add a tablespoon or two of sweetener to the mug. This can be honey, maple syrup, or even a flavored syrup like vanilla or caramel. Stir the rum and sweetener together until well combined.
Once the water is warm, pour it into the mug with the rum and sweetener mixture. Stir everything together until the sweetener has dissolved and the drink is well mixed.
Finally, garnish your Rum Toddy with a cinnamon stick or a sprinkle of ground cinnamon for an extra touch of warmth and flavor. Enjoy your cozy, comforting cocktail sip by sip.
Best served in a Old-Fashioned Glass.
